Day 11

Let each man exercise the art he knows.

Aristophanes (450 BC - 388 BC)

Long before I went to Art School, I spent time drawing in Junior College Classes, figure drawing primarily, and doing Drawing Marathons all over the San Francisco East Bay. For $10 you could go and figure draw all day, Three or four models, doing long and short poses. My friend Q and I thought this was the best way to spend a day. We came home with many drawings which we would later color with Prismacolor pencils, acrylic, watercolor, whatever. I am fond of this drawing  because it reminds me of a great and free time in my artistic development. Circa late 1970's
